UScellular is a regional US wireless carrier historically operated by United States Cellular Corporation, majority-owned by Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. (TDS); both TDS and United States Cellular Corp were separately US-listed. Its wireless operations (customers, stores, spectrum in the deal markets) were sold to T-Mobile, a transaction that closed in 2025, after which the SEC-registered parent renamed itself Array Digital Infrastructure, Inc. UScellular's privacy policy and CPNI/location-based-services notices describe collection of CPNI, cell site and precise geolocation data, and device identifiers including advertising IDs; the policy states most personal-information categories are not sold or shared but self-declares a "Sell/Share" of device- and browsing-activity data collected via cookies, and states CPNI may be shared with the Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. family of affiliates for marketing. UScellular notified at least one Maine resident of an October 2022 data security incident in which unauthorized individuals accessed a retail store's billing system and viewed wireless customer account information; the notice states it was reported to the FCC and state agencies. No FTC or state-AG enforcement action was found via live-fetchable primary sources in this research.
