WHAT THE POLICIES SAY

Talkspace, Inc. (Nasdaq: TALK) is a publicly traded online-therapy platform, the successor to Groop Internet Platform, Inc. (d/b/a Talkspace), which went public via SPAC merger with Hudson Executive Investment Corp. Its consumer Privacy Policy (last updated July 17, 2025) collects broad registration data at intake -- including a free-text field on why a user is seeking therapy -- and separately discloses 'Persistent Identifiers' gathered via cookies, pixels, Google Analytics, and Google Ads to advertising and analytics partners, while stating this pre-patient tracking is curtailed once someone becomes a patient and that Talkspace 'does not sell client information to third parties.' A separate HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices commits to not selling PHI without authorization. Apple's App Store privacy label, filed under the seller name Groop Internet Platform inc., declares only Purchases and Identifiers as data linked to identity, with no 'Data Used to Track You' category. Talkspace's FY2025 10-K states there were no material legal proceedings, claims, or litigation as of December 31, 2025; a widely reported 2020 New York Times story alleging Talkspace mined therapy-session transcripts for marketing purposes could not be independently verified here (the article is blocked to automated fetches and its Wayback snapshot failed), so it is noted but not scored as a confirmed incident.
