WHAT THE POLICIES SAY

Nextdoor is a neighborhood network operated by Nextdoor Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: KIND), a US public company deriving substantially all revenue from advertising. Its defining practice is mandatory identity collection: members register with their real name and physical address, verified via phone billing address, geolocation, or documents such as government ID. Advertising builds on this first-party data, with neighborhood-level 'hyperlocal' targeting, third-party ad cookies and SDKs, and sharing of hashed emails and advertising identifiers with ad partners — which Nextdoor acknowledges California law may classify as 'selling' or 'sharing,' with state opt-outs offered. Public agencies, including police, can geo-target posts to neighborhoods. Street addresses are not displayed on profiles, and Nextdoor removed its Forward to Police feature in 2020 after reported racial-profiling criticism.
