WHAT THE POLICIES SAY

eufy is Anker Innovations' smart-security and smart-home brand (cameras, video doorbells, robot vacuums, baby monitors), operated under the Anker corporate umbrella (Anker Innovations Technology Co., Ltd., dual-listed A-share/H-share, Shenzhen Stock Exchange ticker 300866). eufy's own privacy-commitment page states a 'Local Security' design principle — storing video footage locally and running facial recognition on-device where possible — but its privacy policy discloses sharing of personal data with ad networks/advertising partners and other Anker-group entities, and its App Store label lists analytics identifiers as data linked to the user's identity. In late 2022, independent researchers found eufy cameras uploading thumbnail images to an AWS cloud server even when cloud storage was disabled; eufy's own current FAQ acknowledges this cloud-thumbnail practice for push notifications and describes it as server-side encrypted with auto-deletion, and a related BIPA class action remains in litigation. No FTC or other regulator order was identified.
