WHAT THE POLICIES SAY

Clearbit is a B2B data-enrichment and marketing-intelligence platform, operated as a brand of HubSpot, Inc. (NYSE: HUBS), which completed its acquisition of Clearbit in December 2023 for a $140.4 million purchase price disclosed in an SEC filing. Clearbit's own privacy policy states it compiles a commercial database of business-contact information (name, title, company, phone, email, employment/education history, social-media data) sourced from customer-authorized collection, third-party data providers, 'data co-ops,' and publicly available sources, and separately collects device/IP identifiers from web and mobile networks, exchanges, aggregators and publishers. The policy states directly that 'Clearbit may sell your personal information or use your personal information to send you targeted advertising,' with an opt-out link provided, and discloses use of its own tracking pixel (the 'Clearbit tag'), cross-device identifiers for targeted advertising, and third-party Google Analytics. HubSpot's own trust-center page lists a legacy Clearbit SOC 2 report and TRUSTe certification alongside HubSpot's current SOC 2/SOC 3 documentation. No breach, lawsuit or regulator order specific to Clearbit was found in this research.
