WHAT THE POLICIES SAY

The Allstate Corporation (NYSE: ALL) is a Delaware holding company for Allstate Insurance Company and other subsidiaries, including Arity, a telematics and mobility-data analytics unit. Arity's own privacy statement describes collecting sensor-level device data (accelerometer, gyroscope, GPS-derived trip details, phone handling) to build driving-behavior insights, and states it does not sell personal information for monetary value but does run targeted-advertising and consumer-reporting-agency data flows. Two state attorneys general have live, unresolved actions: Texas (Jan. 2025) alleges Allstate and Arity paid third-party app developers, including Life360, to secretly embed tracking software that collected and sold over 45 million Americans' driving/location data to insurers to justify raising premiums; New York (Mar. 2025) sued Allstate/National General over 2020-21 breaches that exposed 165,000+ New Yorkers' driver's license numbers, alleging inadequate security and delayed notification. Both are allegations, not adjudicated judgments or settlements, as of the fetch date.
